I hope I am painting a cliché picture of a victim, for that is what I was. There were a bewildering few seconds before I even realized I have been mugged.
It’s a Monday morning where everybody is ready to start his/her days.
as I normally do, I just wake up with good motivation and new working day (Monday) I was started well everything before I reached the bus stop.
The group of gang men came from behind me and started beating me up with pistols and other hand staff.
first, they hit me on the back of my head with a pistol, what I remember is that they were pointed me the pistols and also, they were shouting (kill him) unlikely they took all my money which I took from the bank just a minutes ago but alhamdulillah am lucky to be alive now.
but really, I was in a shock for how fast they have mugged me and how people watched us like the action movies I was in very close to the bus stage at that moment.
I would highly advise anyone not to make or receive any call in these high-risk areas in Nairobi if it’s possible, at the sometime counting money on the streets or collecting money from the bank it can risk yourself.
make sure that you are very aware and alert on your surroundings and especially
those behind you.
